Another Mystery Read-a-Thon is over
What we would like to know is what your statistics for this weekend are;
Did you manage to read a total of twelve hours?
How many pages did you read?
What books did you read and how did you enjoy them?
Did the weekend live up to your expectations? Did you read as much as you'd hoped? Or was it more, or less?
My post which also includes a write up on the two books I managed to start and finish, can be found here.
Finally I want to apologize for only posting this mail now, on Monday morning.
During the whole weekend I have been having problems with my computer. It was very slow, getting slower as the day went on and at times refused to save or post anything. I stayed up until after one in the morning yesterday evening trying to get my blog post and this one up, but it just wasn't happening. I can only hope I'll have more luck now.
I hope you all had a good time reading this weekend and that you will join us again the next time we decide to organize a Mystery Read-a-Thon.

TIME FOR AN UPDATE
How are you getting on?
Are you getting as much reading done as you were hoping?
Do you feel you will read a total of 12 hours or is that going to be a struggle?
Or maybe you'll end up reading for more than 12 hours?
Write a bit about your reading experience so far, and share it with us by posting your link in the comment box.
Mine can be found here.

Cover mini-challenge
Cover photos sometimes are really not too good a fit for the book. If you had a say, what would the cover of your current book look like? Either find a good pic, draw one yourself or give a good description of it and leave a link in the comments!
It doesnt have to be anything fancy, just relax a bit, take a short break from reading (after all, you only have to read for 12 hours!
Letter mini-challenge
We all, at one point, have thought about talking to a character in a book we read, haven't we? Either because they're doing something really, really stupid, or because we think they're so brave.
So why not do it in a short letter to them now? Write them what you think, be all honest and upfront about it! And - of course - leave a link in the comment section :-)
Welcome & questions for the introduction post...
Now welcome, welcome, welcome! By now everyone should have Saturday, January 16 on their calendars, so it's about time to start with a short introduction post... For this, we have come up with a few questions for you to take to your own blog to answer. Please leave a link in the comment section once you have posted your answers! If you don't have a blog, just answer the questions in the comment section.
Now on to the questions:
1) Give us five fun-facts about you. (Things that are so trivial you wouldn't think of them right away, but that might make others smile.)
2) What is on your TBR stack for the next two days?
3) Do you have any specific hopes and plans for this read-a-thon?
4) Did you participate in the Mystery Read-A-Thon in the past?
5) If you already participated, can you give the new participants any tips on what to do and what not to do?
6) If this is your first Mystery Read-A-Thon, how do you plan to go ahead?
And if you're on Twitter, search for the hashtag #mysteryRAT, for some chatter...

JANUARY MYSTERY-READ-A-THON; A REMINDER
Kathrin and I are in the process of coming up with some mini challenges for this event, and will post more about those when the Read-a-Thon has started.
If you're already signed up for next weekend, just make sure you keep the date free. If not, there's still a whole week to sign up. And if you do, please don't forget to make use of Mr. Linky.
Looking forward to spending some quality reading time with you next weekend.
